1st DCA Grants Review to 2nd Constitutional Challenge to IMR

The California 1st District Court of Appeals is poised to take a second look at the constitutionality of California's independent medical review process, with its focus this time on the anonymity of the doctor providing the opinion. Last October, a unanimous panel from Division 1 of the 1st DCA declared that IMR "is fundamentally fair and affords workers sufficient opportunities to present evidence and be heard."
