Unlicensed Doctor Sentenced for Conducting Workers' Comp Exams

A 78-year-old Ohio doctor who conducted examinations on potential workers' compensation claimants - despite losing his medical license in 1991 - won't go to prison but must make restitution and pay a fine and court costs, the Toledo Blade reported on Monday.The newspaper said James E. Mann, 78, of Rossford was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Toledo to one day in prison with credit for time served and was put on supervised release for one year.Mann was fined $100,000 and was ordered to pay $91,482.81 in restitution to the U.S. Department of Labor and a $300 special-assessment fee.Th...
