Doctor Wins Demurrer Against Worker's Inadequate Complaint

An injured worker's suit against her former treating physician failed because her complaint was inadequate, according to an unpublished decision from the 2nd District Court of Appeal. The appellate court affirmed a Los Angeles Superior Court decision sustaining a demurrer against Mary Jones' lawsuit, which alleged that Dr. Peter Newton, her primary treating physician, gave her substandard care.
