Medical providers who are worried about their bills being rejected because of minor errors during the transition to ICD-10 later this year got the break they were looking for Friday from the Division of Workers' Compensation.
The DWC amended draft regulations to implement the transition to the 10th edition of the International Classification of Disease to provide for a one-year grace period, directing payers to disregard minor errors caused soley by the more detailed billing codes in ICD-10.
