A Florida doctor said he collected nearly $477,000 in fees and bonuses for writing excessive prescriptions while working at a Deerfield Beach, Fla., pill mill in 2010, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.The newspaper said Dr. Charles Neuringer, 73, of Coral Springs, Fla., admitted in federal court last Thursday that he wrote excessive prescriptions in exchange for cash.Neuringer worked at the Coast to Coast Healthcare Management Clinic, which closed following a raid by federal agents in December 2010.Prosecutors said Neuringer's job involved "little more than writing prescriptions."
