Employers in Ohio whose workers come under the federal Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act would receive a reduction on their state workers’ compensation premiums under an amendment added to a capital budget bill, the Toledo Blade reported.The amendment was added to the budget measure in the House of Representatives and still faces action by the Ohio Senate.The change would affect 75 to 100 maritime employers on the Ohio River and Lake Erie, who have been paying insurance premiums to cover workers under the federal system as well as to the Bureau of Workers’ Compen...
