The wife of a mayor who died after suffering a cardiac arrest and crashing his vehicle has filed a lawsuit seeking workers' compensation death benefits.
In the lawsuit, Sandy Drabik Collins, widow of Toledo Mayor D. Michael Collins, claims he suffered a “compensable injury” while carrying out the duties of his job, the Toledo Blade reports.
Collins, who was 70, died five days after suffering a heart attack at the wheel of the city-owned SUV during a February snow emergency.
