Kansas has released its proposed workers' compensation medical fee schedule for 2017.
The fee schedule would increase reimbursement to most doctors by 3%, and dentists by 10%.
The Department of Labor lists some of the most important revisions as:
Increasing the hourly rate for depositions, testimony and independent medical exams to $400 for the first hour.
Increasing the cost of reviewing the first 50 pages of medical records for a deposition or IME to $100, and $75 for each additional 50 pages.
Compounded drugs must be pre-approved by the payer.
