Industrial Commission Closes Rulemaking on Hospital, ASC Payments

The Idaho Industrial Commission has concluded its negotiated rulemaking pertaining to hospital and ambulatory surgical center payments. As a result of the negotiated rulemaking, the commission is proposing changes to the procedures for paying hospital and ASC bills without status code “J1.” When no medical service with the status code appears on the same claim, two or more medical procedures with status code T on the same claim shall be reimbursed with the highest weighted code paid at 100% of the Ambulatory Payment Classification calculated amount and all other status code ...
