Double-Dipping Worker Gets Probation, $122,000 Restitution Order

A judge in Washington state ordered a man to repay the $122,000 he collected in workers' compensation benefits while working another job. Efrain A. Camarena, 58, injured his neck and back in 2006 while working on a dairy farm in Skagit County. A doctor determined that he couldn't work because of his injuries, and he collected wage replacement benefits off and on for nine years.
