Rules Committee Affirms WCAB Appointees

The Senate Rules Committee on Wednesday unanimously approved Gov. Jerry Brown’s latest appointments to the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board: Jose Razo III and Deidra Lowe. The governor in May 2015 appointed Razo to fill one of two vacancies on the board. At the same time, he reappointed Lowe, who served as a commissioner since 2008. Lowe said in her opening remarks that working as a commissioner is extremely challenging but also very interesting and important.
