Los Angeles' garment workers toil in hot, dusty and unsafe conditions, according to a new study from the University of California, Los Angeles Labor Center.
UCLA's Labor Center produced "Dirty Threads, Dangerous Factories" after surveying 307 garment workers in the Los Angeles area between June and December of 2015.
According to the report,
82% of respondents had never received health or safety training at work.
72% reported dusty conditions.
60% reported excessive heat and dust, plus poor ventilation.
49% said no first aid kits were made availa...
