As the insurance industry grapples with an ongoing shortage of claim adjusters due in part to a wave of baby boomer retirements, carriers are trying some innovative ways of recruiting new talent.
The strategies include changing insurance company culture to appeal to millennial-generation workers, reaching out to students in high school and training veterans for insurance jobs. Some are even experimenting with new job titles for insurance adjusters: “resolution specialists” and “resolution managers.”
