OSHA Proposes $117K in Fines for Safety Violations at Metals Plant

The U.S. Occupational and Safety Administration is proposing $117,000 in penalties against an Illinois metal-, strip- and coil-processing facility for 38 alleged safety and health violations, OSHA said in a news release.OSHA said it initiated an investigation of Arlington Metals Corp. in June in response to a complaint filed by the United Steel Workers Union alleging unsafe working conditions at the Franklin Park, Ill., plant.
