Reform Group Protests L&I Claim Handling

A group charging the Washington state Department of Labor and Industries with discriminating against Latino workers staged a protest outside the agency's office in Yakima over what it says is unfair claims handling practices. The Yakima Herald reports about 30 protestors took to the streets on Friday, saying L&I arbitrarily denies claims and treatment requests in an effort to save money for employers.
