Joan Adelman has been promoted to vice president of legal services for Chesapeake Employers’ Insurance Co., Maryland’s largest writer of workers’ compensation insurance.
Adelman is responsible for the daily operations of the legal department, including supervision of attorneys and the department’s appellate practice. She also provides advice to all other Chesapeake departments on insurance matters.
Last year, Adelman was named assistant vice president of legal services at Chesapeake Employers. Before that, she was director of legal services.
