MLAC Reviewing COVID Issues

At the direction of Oregon Gov. Kate Brown, the state’s Management Labor Advisory Council will discuss how the state’s workers’ compensation system is responding to the COVID-19 outbreak. Brown, in a letter to the advisory panel, asked that it assess “problems or gaps in the workers’ compensation system relative to the COVID-19 outbreak — including an analysis of and recommendation for a COVID-19 presumption.” MLAC will meet from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday to hear a report on COVID-19 claims and to review the governor’s request.
