Rules revising 13 industry classifications as well as classification codes used for preferred workers, adopted by the Washington state Department of Labor & Industries in May, went into effect on July 1.
The department said in rule-making notices and a notice of rule adoption that the changes clarify regulations and will not affect how it classifies employment or how much employers pay.
