The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration is proposing $57,013 in penalties against an Alabama fabrics manufacturer for failing to correct amputation hazards that it had been cited for previously.
OSHA said it issued citations for two repeat and two serious violations by Twitchell Technical Products in Dothan after an April inspection. The company had exposed workers to amputation hazards from unguarded machine rollers and grinders, OSHA said.
