The Missouri Court of Appeals ruled that a worker’s claim against the Second Injury Fund, filed less than a year after he settled a claim against his employer, was not timely. Case: Hunsaker v. Treasurer, No. SD36450, 10/06/2020, published. Facts and procedural history: Rick Hunsaker worked for Woody's Trucking. In June 2011, he filed a workers’ compensation claim asserting he had suffered injuries from being struck by a cage of chickens.
