Idaho's Department of Insurance was reaccredited for five years by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. NAIC subjects accredited insurance regulators to a comprehensive independent review every five years to ensure they meet baseline financial solvency oversight standards. Regulators must have adequate statutory and administrative authority to regulate the corporate and financial affairs of carriers, as well as the resources needed to exercise that authority.
