A New York appellate court ruled that a worker’s temporary total disability benefits do not count toward the benefit caps for nonschedule awards. Case: Matter of Sanchez v. Jacobi Medical Center, No. 528945, 02/20/2020, published. Facts and procedural history: Rurico Sanchez worked for the Jacobi Medical Center as a housekeeper. He suffered injuries to his neck, back, shoulder and leg in May 2008.
