New Jersey's injured workers will see the cap on their weekly benefits increase by $7 next year.
The Division of Workers' Compensation announced that the maximum weekly benefit rate will rise from $896 to $903 on Jan. 1, 2018, a 0.78% increase.
The rate increase applies to all injured workers receiving the maximum amount of wage-loss benefits, whether they are temporarily, permanently or totally disabled. Death benefits will also rise from a maximum of $896 to $903.
