Gasoline Station Owner Pleads Guilty to Tax Evasion, Failing to Cover

The owner of three Monterey County, Calif. gasoline stations pleaded guilty on Thursday to tax evasion and failure to provide workers' compensation insurance, the Salinas Californian newspaper reported.The Monterey County District Attorney's Office said Toan Cong Bui, 58, of San Jose, pleaded to one felony count of tax evasion and one misdemeanor count of failing to secure workers’ compensation insurance.Bui owned several businesses, including a gasoline station and motel in Marina; an auto dealership in Forest Hill and gasoline stations in Pacific Grove and Hollister, according ...
