W.R. Berkley Net Income Dips Slightly

W.R. Berkley on Wednesday reported net income of $161.9 million in the third quarter, down from $162.05 million for the same period in 2017. The carrier reported $1.93 billion in gross written premiums, up from $1.87 billion in the prior-year quarter. W.R. Berkley reported $371.4 million in net written workers’ compensation premium, up from $3.67 million in the third quarter of 2017.
