Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey announced that pharmacy benefit manager Express Scripts has agreed to pay $3.2 million to settle allegations that it overcharged workers’ compensation payers for prescription drugs.
Express Scripts did not admit that its prescription drug pricing practices violated state laws or regulations.
The Attorney General’s Office on Monday signed an assurance of discontinuance in which the PBM agreed to the cash payment and promised to ensure that future billings and payments will comply with all relevant laws and rules.
