As a result of 18 workers being hospitalized for exposure to high levels of carbon monoxide, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration issued citations to JRI Holdings for failure to keep its employees safe, according to a release from the administration.
OSHA proposed penalties for the company up to $70,700.
JRI Holdings was cited for one willful and three serious safety violations, including failing to provide respiratory protection or monitor and ventilate work sites.
