By Greg JonesWestern Bureau ChiefSAN FRANCISCO – The California Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau is proposing to increase the premium threshold it uses to determine which California employers will be subject to a physical payroll audit to $13,000 from $10,000.The WCIRB’s Governing Committee approved the proposed change to the audit threshold as part of a regulatory filing it will submit to the Insurance Department by the end of the week.
