The New York Workers' Compensation Board has posted a timeline for implementation of its new drug formulary regulations.
The board adopted the multi-layered formulary in June, and some prescribing restrictions take effect Dec. 5, 2019, the board announced.
The regulations include:
Any new prescription on or after Dec. 5 must be for a formulary medication. As of that date, a medical provider must obtain prior authorization for any drug not listed as approved.
