WCAB's Reopening Was Supported by 'Good Cause' Statute

A Workers' Compensation Appeals Board panel decision to reopen a claim was valid because the commissioners found "good cause" to reopen the award under Labor Code 5803, the 3rd District Court of Appeal ruled. Case: CHP v. WCAB (Griffin), No. C062712, 11/19/10. Unpublished. Facts: Michael Griffin worked as a peace officer for the California Highway Patrol from July 1969 to August 1999.
