Wait Times for Orthopedists Longer In-Network in Many States, NCCI Finds

It took injured workers being treated in-network longer to see an orthopedic surgeon than those being treated out of network in 20 of 35 states in a new National Council on Compensation Insurance study. The biggest difference was in Florida, where the median wait time for a network orthopedist was 24 days from date of injury, compared to 17 days out of network.
