Court: Property Owner Owed No Duty of Care to Employee Killed Crossing Street

The Texas Supreme Court ruled that a property owner did not owe a duty of care to an employee who was struck and killed by a careless motorist while crossing the public street next to the hospital where she worked. HNMC Inc. owns and operates a hospital and a fenced parking lot in Northwest Houston. The hospital and lot are on either side of Cali Drive, a public roadway.
