Arch Capital Appoints SVP/Chief Risk Officer

Arch Capital Group announced Wednesday the appointment of Janice Englesbe as senior vice president and chief risk officer, effective Monday.

Englesbe will be based in Arch’s Bermuda office and report to Francois Morin, executive vice president and chief financial officer.

Englesbe will be responsible for Arch’s risk management function, and she will counsel executives and board members, the reinsurer said.

She was formerly group deputy chief risk officer of General Re and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.
