A Chancery Court judge has granted permission to transfer workers' compensation claims from a bankrupt manufacturing plant to the surety company that backed its $970,000 self-insurance bond, the state Department of Insurance announced Thursday.Plastech Engineered Products closed its plants in Gallatin, Kenton and Franklin, Tenn., in September 2008 and stopped paying its own self-insured workers' compensation payments.
