The Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission released an updated compliance audit procedures guide that offers instruction on how to satisfy state auditing requirements when dealing with self-insured employers and third-party administrators.The guide contains is broken into sections that include internal control assessments, audit procedures, report preparation and quality review.The report is just a guide, and the suggestions and procedures it contains are not always necessary or appropriate, the commission said.
