Four New York state business owners were arrested in what Inspector General Leahy Scott called an "ongoing coordinated effort" with local and state law enforcement agencies to investigate workers' compensation fraud.
Arrested were:
Douglas S. Griffen of Ithaca, owner of Fingerlakes Excavating LLC, for grand larceny in the third degree and falsifying business records in the first degree, and workers' compensation fraud, all felonies, as well as failure to secure compensation, a misdemeanor.
