A bill that would clarify requirements for work comp carriers and self-insured employers to make lump-sum payments of permanent partial disability benefits is heading to the desk of Oregon’s governor.
The Senate on Tuesday voted 28-0 to pass House Bill 2802, a bill with no chief sponsor that Gov. Tina Kotek requested on behalf of the Department of Consumer and Business Services. The bill hasn’t been amended since the state House of Representatives voted 58-0 to pass it March 11.
