It may sound like the last thing someone would want after an injury: restricted blood flow.
But blood-flow restriction therapy is gaining acceptance as a treatment for injured workers and has been shown to promote muscle growth and recovery without intense exercise, the clinical director of an East Coast physical therapy firm said Tuesday.
