After five years of paying assessments to bail out the insolvent Kentucky School Boards Insurance Trust, school districts across the state will soon see thousands of dollars in refunds.
“We'll take it, gladly,” said Adam Hooker, director of accounting for the Laurel County Board of Education, which will receive about $124,000 in payments ordered by a Franklin County Circuit Court judge last week.
