While distracted driving including the use of smartphones is increasingly being blamed for motor vehicle accidents, a new report from the Insurance Information Institute looks at the role marijuana legalization might play in car crash trends.
“Early evidence suggests that recreational marijuana legalization is associated with an increase in traffic accidents,” the Institute's white paper says.
