Two Burlington County pharmaceutical sales representatives pleaded guilty Monday to defrauding state health benefits programs and other insurers by submitting fraudulent claims for medically unnecessary prescriptions for compounded drugs.
Judd Holt, 42, of Marlton, and George Gavras, 36, of Moorestown, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Court Judge Robert B. Kugler.
Prosecutors say that from January 2015 through April 2016, Holt and Gavras recruited public employees, including teachers, firefighters, police officers and state troopers, in a conspiracy to obtain fraudulent prescriptions.
