Governor Prohibits Using X-Mods to Disallow Bids

Indiana Gov. Mike Braun signed a bill prohibiting state agencies from using experience rating to preclude a business from submitting a bid for a contract. Braun on Wednesday signed House Bill 1214, by Rep. Matt Lehman, R-Berne. While the bill would prohibit state agencies from shutting employers out of the bidding process, they would still be allowed to consider experience ratings when awarding a contract, under terms of the bill.
