WCB to Discuss Treatment Guidelines, Fee Schedule at October Meetings

The Alaska Workers’ Compensation Board will discuss evidence-based medical treatment guidelines, and fees for treatment and services, when it meets for two days in October.

Board members will review recommendations from the Medical Services Review Committee regarding changes to the 2020 medical fee schedule. The committee met with the board in August to discuss provider reimbursements.

Members will also see a presentation on evidence-based treatment guidelines by Ken Eichler, vice president of government affairs for ODG by Work Loss Data Institute.

The board is also scheduled to discuss its 2018 annual report. The conversation about the annual report is scheduled to start on the first day of meetings and carry over to the second.

The board meets at 9 a.m. Oct. 3-4 at 3301 Eagle St., room 208, in Anchorage.
