The U.S. Department of Labor has sued Jasper Roofing Contractors Inc. and its owner for firing a safety manager after he allegedly cooperated with Occupational Safety and Health Administration inspectors to improve safety at the company.
The labor department filed suit in the federal courthouse in Tampa, Florida, on Dec. 28. Jasper Roofing conducts business throughout Florida.
