Labor Commission Adopts Changes to Billing, Travel Reimbursement and Assessment Rules

The Utah Labor Commission adopted rules, effective Dec. 1, that increase the conversion factor for anesthesiology and clarified travel reimbursement rules. At the same time, the commission also adopted a set of rules setting the Uninsured Employers’ Fund assessment at 0.25% for 2017. The commission’s new medical billing rules increase the conversion factor for anesthesiology to $57 from $53.
