Three Monterey County contractors were cited for operating without workers' compensation insurance following a multi-agency sting in Aptos, according to a report by The Californian.
Investigators from the Contractor State License Board and Department of Insurance posed as homeowners seeking exterior construction work on a residence. Subjects identified by investigators for previous violations such as operating without a license were contacted and scheduled to prepare an estimate.
