The Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission correctly determined that an injured worker's proposed earnings were too speculative to require his employer to pay temporary partial disability benefits for time off work, a state appellate court ruled. Tim Menefee was a maintenance worker for Peoria who injured his left shoulder trying to start a gas-powered blower in June 2019.
