The minimum and the maximum weekly benefit in Kentucky will rise in 2021, thanks to an increase in the state's average weekly wage, the Department of Workers' Claims announced.
The average weekly wage in 2019 climbed to $918. State law sets the weekly maximum for workers' compensation benefits at 110% of the average wage, which means the maximum benefit will be capped at $1,010, starting Jan. 1.

The minimum weekly benefit also rose, from $178 to $184, Commissioner Robert Swisher said in the bulletin.
