A teacher who received $59,608 in workers’ compensation benefits for injuries she reportedly sustained trying to stop a fight between students was charged with double dipping, the Connecticut Division of Criminal Justice announced.
Ann Marie Barros, 44, was allegedly working as a real estate agent while collecting benefits for the injuries she said she sustained to her head, neck and back while working for the Bristol Board of Education in 2019.
