Insurance Committee Passes Signature, Poster Bills

The California Assembly Insurance Committee unanimously passed bills that would allow electronic signatures in Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board proceedings and require workplace posters to include a notice of the right to consult an attorney to discuss workers’ compensation rights. The committee on Wednesday also passed a bill that would give fraud investigators at the Department of Insurance a 20% raise to align their pay with investigators at the Justice Department.
